To kick off 2024, we're happy to bring you a number of quality of life improvements to Quine. πŸŽ‰

Comments are more expressive than ever

We’ve added a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor to Quine comments to make it easier to express yourself when sharing the love for open source, Creator Quest submissions, or describing your own projects! ✍️

This means you can now format your comments in a richer way, add in lovely emojis πŸ”₯, and even @mention other Quine users to link to their profile page. 😊

Creator Quests improvements

We recently launched Creator Quests as a great way to showcase your coding creativity by submitting repos in response to a coding brief, and gaining community votes on your project to win rewards. πŸ’°

We've been working to improve the look and feel of this new feature and make it easier to submit repos to a Quest and follow along with progress.

Onboarding improvements

For anyone new to Quine, you will likely have already encountered our updated onboarding experience.

We're always keen to understand how our community are using Quine and looking to benefit from what we offer, so our new onboarding asks you what you are most interested in and then directs you to the relevant parts of Quine after sign-up. πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“

As ever, please do share any feedback with us and we hope you have a wonderful 2024 full of open source fun!
